Earlier this year, the light-duty 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel received 8,000 orders within three days of being released, and its subsequent popularity has been so overwhelming that Chrysler has officially announced it will double production of the model.
The popularity of the 1500 EcoDiesel is a direct result of the growing customer demand for a powertrain that delivers on both fuel-economy and performance. In addition to reduced CO2 emissions and providing drivers with the best fuel economy of any full-size pickup, the model features a 3.0L EcoDiesel engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and exceptional torque capabilities.
