If you like vehicles with quite a bit of boom under the bonnet, you've come to the right place. Dodge has quite the crop of powerful models, particularly under its SRT umbrella. With the release of the Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats, the bar has been raised, and for a while, we were afraid the Viper would be left out.

Well, fear no more.

As fate would have it, a prototype Viper was recently delivered to the automaker packing a supercharged V10 engine. While the current SRT edition gets 640 horsepower, rumors state this new car will boast around 800 ponies with 650 lb-ft of twist. That's nothing to shake a stick at.

Unfortunately, that's about as far as the rumors go, but we imagine we'll see this car quite soon--perhaps as soon as SEMA. Stay tuned to our blog for updates.
